Patna gears up to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja today

PATNA: Devotees, especially those involved in construction, technical or architectural works, will celebrate Vishwakarma Puja to offer prayers to Lord Vishwakarma on Sunday.
All big and small units involved in production and trade of various materials prepare for the occasion for days before, clean and decorate their premises with colourful lights, invite guests and customers, hold puja and distribute 'prasad'.
Apart from industries, Vishvakarma Puja is also celebrated by individuals at homes. People wash their automobile and perform puja in simple ways by offering flowers and sweets.
A civil engineer of IAS Colony associated with building construction, Vishnu Kumar, who has been celebrating this festival for over three decades said all engineers, workers, and clients eagerly waited for this occasion of collective prayer to Lord Vishvakarma.
"Workers and craftsmen had a blind faith on the blessings of Lord Vishvakarma and they celebrate His day with fervour and devotion," he said.
